The Boston Red Sox are proving to be the hump that the New York Yankees cannot seem to get over this season. Boston rolls the Yanks again 11-6.

It was the same story as it has been all season for the New York Yankees. The Red Sox got to their pitching early and the offense didn't have enough to get them back into the game. Boston gets another win in the Bronx, 11-6.

Big wins against the Yankees are seeming all to easy for the Red Sox so far this season. I know that the Yanks were hoping for a good performance out of AJ Burnett, but he gets roughed up right from the start when David Ortiz blasted a 2 run shot. That was the beginning of the end for Burnett. He gave up 6 more runs before being relieved early in the 6th. Boone Logan maintained things for the next couple of innings, but unfortunately Lance Pendleton would give up 3 more runs in the 9th when both Carl Crawford and JD Drew launched a couple of homers into the stands. The Red Sox are now sitting all alone in first place in the AL East.

Red Sox hitting has been unbelievable since getting over their slow start at the beginning of the season. Adiran Gonzalez has been the biggest producer for Boston. He is batting .335 which leads his team. He also leads his team in RBI's with 53, and he's number 2 in homers with 12.

Tonight the two of them finish up this most recent series, and the Sox are getting ready to bring out the brooms. CC Sabathia takes on the AL ERA leader Josh Beckett (2.01).

Derek Jeter was 1-5 last night which moves him closer to 3,000 hits. He only has 11 to go to reach that milestone.
