Schedules can be funny things. You can go a few days without playing, then all of a sudden the schedule seems so busy there is little time for a practice. The Devils have faced both at this early juncture.

The Devils were off for 4 days after winning at Worcester on Saturday. They got back on the ice at the Times Union Center on Wednesday, losing to Connecticut 5-2. that began a streak of 3 games in 4 days. they are back at home this coming Friday against Adirondack and then head to Hershey for a contest Saturday night.

The Devils are now 1-3 on the young season, winning their only game on the road. A home win Friday in the 1st of 12 matches against Adirondack would feel nice.Last season the Devils went 3-5-3 against the Phantoms. The annual winner of the season series against the Adirondack Phantom get the Time Warner Cable Cup.

Friday is also a "Dueces Wild" package night. It includes 2 tickets to the game,2 Devil hats, 2 pop corns, 2 sodas, and 2 vouchers for a game either November 12th or November 24th for just 35.00. You can order this package on-line or by calling (518) 4 Devils. In addition to all that good stuff, all fans attending the game Friday vs Adirondack can donate a few bucks to Albany Mayor Jennings  "Cash for coats" program.

After the game in Hershey on Saturday, the team will be dormant as far as game action until Friday, November 2nd, when yours truly will suit up as the Devils mascot for a period in a game against Connecticut at the TU center. The mascot act is paying off a wager I made with some front office staff during last years NY Rangers vs NJ Devils Eastern Conference Finals series. I had the beloved Rangers winning and they didn't, succumbing to the Devils in 6 games. November 2nd is payoff night!
