After amassing 256 yards on a school-record 43 carries this past week against Illinois, Iowa running back (and Troy High School graduate) Jordan Canzeri was named the National Offensive Player of the Week.

Iowa is undefeated at 6-0 and Canzeri is a major reason why. He has nine rushing touchdowns on the season to go along with one receiving touchdown. He's rushed for nearly 700 yards already this year and is averaging 5.3 yards per carry.

Canzeri is one of several Section II products playing well at the highest levels. Dion Lewis, another Albany product, is one of the top players on the undefeated New England Patriots. Josh Keyes, a Chatham product, is on the practice squad for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Hawkeyes take on Northwestern this week where another Section II product, Shen graduate Corey Acker, plays for the Wildcats.

Northwestern was blanked by Michigan last week but is still ranked No. 20 in the AP Poll.

Iowa is 17th.
