Well, seven rounds of the NFL Draft came and went this weekend, and none of them ended with Jordan Canzeri's name being called.

The Troy High graduate and Iowa running back prospect ran for nearly 1,000 yards this season for the Hawkeyes, battling injury along the way.

But, Canzeri's NFL dream is not over yet:

On the surface, Canzeri doesn't make much sense for the Chiefs, who are already loaded in the backfield with Jamaal Charles, Charcandrick West, Spencer Ware and Knile Davis. A healthy Charles this year means there's even less opportunity to make a roster, nevertheless see playing time.

The Saints make more sense, as they've had inconsistent back play in recent years. Mark Ingram is a durable back but hasn't followed up his Heisman career in the NFL the way people had hoped. CJ Spiller is also on the roster but didn't play great in his first season in New Orleans either.

Regardless of where he lands, it's great to see Canzeri getting opportunities and hopefully he catches on with a roster soon.
