Despite his and the teams struggles, Carmelo Anthony landed himself a spot on the NBA All-Star team as a starter for the fourth time in his career.

Carmelo Anthony joins Dwight Howard, Dwyane Wade, Lebron James and Derrick Rose as one of the starting five for the East in the NBA All-Star team.  This is the third straight year that Anthony has made the All-Star team, and fifth time over all.

I'm excited about it. It's an honor, a blessing. It's my first one here in New York. Thanks to the fans for voting me in. I appreciate that.

The 2012 NBA All-Star game will be held on February 26th from Orlando on TNT.   In the West, Kevin Durant was the only player not from LA to be named a starter.  Kobe Bryant, Andrew Bynum, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin make up the other starters for the West.  The reserves will be announced on February 9th.
