Carmelo Anthony Nominated for Unique Award

The New York Knicks star is a nominee for an award that has nothing to do with his play on the court.

NCAA Champion, 8 time NBA All Star, NBA scoring champion... King of Swag? Yes Carmelo Anthony has achieved many accolades in his career but he is now a nominee for the "King of Swag" award at the Nickelodeon Kids Sports Choice Awards on July 16th. Anthony will be competing against fellow NBA players like Chris Paul and LeBron James along with other athletes including golfer Rickie Fowler, tennis star Rodger Federer and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. (Unfortunately I was left off the ballot again this year). The July award show marks the 2nd time the "King of Swag" award will be presented. Miami Heat All Star Dwyane Wade won the inaugural award in 2014. What exactly are the credentials in determining the "King of Swag"? Well Nickelodeon does not outline the criteria to win the award. They do however offer fans the chance to vote online for the winner.
