Carmelo Anthony had the option of taking the 5-year, $129 million max to re-sign with the Knicks. Instead, he signed for $124 million, ESPN New York reported on Tuesday evening.

Here's a kicker though: Anthony has a no-trade clause, which is not common in the NBA.

Melo's opt out is after the fourth of five years in the contract.
