Brooklyn Nets

It's been a season of ups and downs for Clifton Park native, Kevin Huerter. The biggest "up" we've seen in a while happened in New York against the Nets.

Tuesday, Brooklyn Borough President, Eric Adams was elected Mayor of New York City and will be sworn it at midnight on January 1st. Remember that date. Adams will succeed fellow Democrat, Mayor Bill deBlasio. The current mayor has implemented a policy that has put requirement on all city workers to be vaccinated or face unpaid leave. Also, all fans attending events at Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center must be vaccinated. Included in his city wide mandate is something which is baffling. The mandate allows unvaccinated visiting athletes or performers to compete or perform in the indoor arena's but all home team athletes must be vaccinated.

Last night the NBA debuted their 2021-22 season on TNT. There was a lot to be excited about, as the season tipped off with the defending NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks, led by their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo taking on the powerful Brooklyn Nets, led by superstars Kevin Durant and James Harden. All seemed wonderful but something or someone was missing and Charles Barkley didn't miss a beat pointing it out.

Kyrie Irving has made his decision, one that he is absolutely entitled to make. The Brooklyn Nets, however, have also made theirs. And it's groundbreaking.

Who is the Capital Region's most beloved sports team? I think we know but let's take a look anyhow. There are probably some major professional sports teams and leagues that we can toss immediately. The NHL is easy to toss. Besides the lack of general popularity, a direct result of Gary Bettman's reign as commissioner, the NHL fanbase in the Capital Region is too fractured.

NBA general managers are responsible for constructing championship-caliber teams. So, it's telling when they identify your team as the favorite to win a title.

Kevin Durant is a great basketball player. He is not, however, the greatest at taking a joke, and the legendary David Letterman decided to put that to the test.

Love him, hate him, or get easily annoyed by his antics, Kyrie Irving is here to stay with the Brooklyn Nets. Either he stays, or he takes a drastic step.

James Harden travelled to France for the week to attend Fashion Week. Unfortunately, it looks like he may have been fashionably late.

Standing in the first row in front of Jerry Garcia for one of more than two dozen concerts that I’ve seen there. My dad taking me to see the circus for the very first time, awesome experiences that will not fade away.
