Breaking Down the Federation: Albany Academy (Audio)

Tonight marks the beginning of the New York State Federation Tournament of Champions, and thus ends our team previews.

But perhaps we saved the best for last. Albany Academy is the reigning Federation champ in Class A and they’ll look to repeat this weekend. The Cadets open up with the No. 1 team in New York State, Scotia, tonight at 8:30 at the Times Union Center.

Will Brown Talks NCAA Tournament Victory [AUDIO]

UAlbany senior guard DJ Evans picked one heck of a time to have a career night. Led by Evan's 22 points and 9 rebounds, the Great Danes knocked off Mount St. Mary's 71-64 on Tuesday night to notch the first NCAA Tournament in program history. Now, its off to Orlando to take on the top ranked team in the Dance, the Florida Gators.

Will Brown, the head coach of the Danes joined Joe and Brix today to discuss his team's signature victory. During their conversation Brown weighed in on his senior's big night, the whirlwind that is the NCAA Tourney, and his upcoming match-up with the Florida Gators.

UAlbany Head Coach Will Brown Previews NCAA Tourney Match-Up [AUDIO]

The UAlbany Great Danes have shocked the world- or at least those who follow the America East. On Saturday, Albany pulled off their second major upset of their conference tournament, beating Stony Brook 69-60 to secure a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

Following their win, head coach Will Brown joined Joe & Brix to talk about his team’s impressive run and their upcoming battle against Mount St. Mary’s on Tuesday night. During their conversation, the coach weighed in the keys to wining the America East tourney, his team’s play-in game selection, and their chances to make some noise over the weekend.
