Going into the first day of "March Madness" the clear cut favorite to go #1 in the NBA Draft regardless of who had the pick was Duke Freshman Zion Williamson. There are some that believe after Sophomore Guard Temetrius Jamal "Ja" Morant lead Murray St to an upset win over Big East power Marquette in round one of the Tourney, he should be the top pick. You can count Ja's dad among that group.

Glens Falls native and BYU alum Jimmer Fredette could be making his way back to the NBA. The 10th overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft has played for the Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans and New York Knicks in the NBA before going over seas to star in the CBA with the Shanghai Sharks. There are reports he is in talks with the Phoenix Suns to potentially join the team for the rest of this season.

New York Knicks owner James Dolan has a pretty long and adversarial history with Knicks' fans. Since Dolan has owned the Knicks they always seem to fall short of the fans expectations and postseason play. James Dolan has been at the center of many embarrassing situations including kicking Knicks legend Charles Oakley out of Madison Square Garden, banning media members and their station and kicking fans out for telling him to sell the team.

First off, this was so much tougher than I expected it to be. When I watch the New York Knicks play this season I am well aware they need SO MUCH HELP if they want to truly compete in the Eastern Conference not to mention the NBA. The issue is I find myself starting to like pieces of the current roster. I wasn't completely heart broken when the Knicks traded Kristaps Porzingis because I like the potential of adding two max contracts. So here are FOUR variations of my dream Roster for next season.

As we sit here in the Team studio on a snowy February Tuesday, Carmelo Anthony is not on an NBA roster. Goz has long been one of if not the loudest Melo supporter we've heard from. Goz has been super sensitive when trying to select where his hero Melo would fit best and take the least abuse. So when I suggested a reunion with the New York Knicks I expected his head to explode. His reaction caught me off guard a little.

No matter how you grade the trade between the Knicks and the Mavericks you can't be thrilled that "The Unicorn" Kristaps Porzingis is no longer a Knick. Look I prefer to stay positive and look on the bright side but I liked KP in NY. So when I hear that possibly Kristaps was not the main reason he's gone but his brother Janis' dislike of the Knicks could be the cause, I get a little upset. After rumors heated up this afternoon that a trade might be coming for one of the Knicks' most beloved players, it appears to have become a reality.

Last night the Knicks lost to the Detroit Pistons and snapped their three game winning streak. Let's be honest this season isn't really all about wins and losses but more about the growth of the team. With all the young talent on the Knicks right now it's been pretty refreshing to not only see how Head Coach David Fizzdale has instantly added an air of respect and honesty but the speed with which some players seem to be adapting. The biggest plus for many has been the play of Tim Hardaway Jr this season. Last night he hit a buzzer beater at the end of the first half that mad everyone leap out of their seats... everyone except Tim Hardaway Sr.
