Derek Jeter Out Until At Least July
And the bad news continues with the Yankee captain. Derek Jeter had a CT scan of his injured ankle and it revealed a small crack. Yankees’ Leadership Will Soon Be Gone
Bernie Williams and Jorge Posada, two core Yankee players from the Joe Torre era, are long gone. Mariano Rivera, another quiet leader by example, is retiring after this season. Leadership used to be a huge piece of the Yankees' winning puzzle. That leadership is dwindling away.

The rest of baseball has retired #42 in honor of Jackie Robinson. Robinson not only fought racism and all sorts of barriers while integrating baseball in 1947, he represented class and dignity and professionalism.
