RPI Announces Their Class Of 2016

RPI Hockey makes a big announcment in regards to their 2016 class.

9 players were mentioned by RPI coach Seth Appert. Among this group are 5 forwards, 3 defenseman and a goaltender.

Heading up the class are forwards Milos Bubela from Slovakia, Andrew Commers from Minnesota, Travis Fulton From Canada, Mark Miller from Massena, New York, and Mike Zalewski who hails from New Hartford, New York

Former RPI Star Adam Oates Named Capitals Head Coach

The Washington Capitals have announced that former Rensselaer standout Adam Oates '85 has been chosen to serve as the head coach of the National Hockey League franchise. He joins the Capitals organization after serving as an assistant with the New Jersey Devils for the past two seasons.

RPI Men’s Hockey Drops Home Opener 1-0

Senior goaltender Austin Lee stopped all 36 shots he faced and classmate Cameron Cooper scored the game's only goal with just 1:22 remaining in the third period as Minnesota State defeated RPI, 1-0, in a non-league game at Houston Field House. The game was the season opener for both teams.

RPI Hockey Releases 2011-12 Schedule

After enjoying its most successful season in nearly a decade, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute men's hockey team is now hoping to take the next step.

Today, RPI released their 2011-12 schedule.  The Engineers, who will play 35 games, open their 110th season on October 7th against Minnesota State.
