The Great Danes are coming off potentially the best season in program history making it to the second round of the FCS playoffs where they fell to Montana St on the Bobcats home field in Bozman, Montana.

Three UAlbany Great Dane football players have received preseason honors. Running Back Karl Mofor was named to the Hero Sports FCS All-American team. Fellow Great Danes Quarterback Jeff Undercuffler and Linebacker Levi Metheny made the second team.
