I can't believe that CBSSports.com would do this, but they did:

They ranked every NCAA men's basketball team heading into the 2015-16 season. EVERY. SINGLE. TEAM.

Where did our local teams fall?

UAlbany came in at 121st out of 351 while Siena was 134th.

On UAlbanyThe Great Danes return Peter Hooley, Evan Singletary and Ray Sanders. Man, the America East's top three will make for a really interesting chase. This is a good team!

Takeaway: The Great Danes are a good team. They return everybody who saw significant time last season except for Sam Rowley. Expect Mike Rowley and Richard Peters to improve play down low, and expect Scotia native Joe Cremo to contribute, as well as Dallas Ennema. UAlbany was actually ranked LOWER than both Stony Brook (108) and Vermont (113). The Danes have been to the NCAA tournament three straight years, so that's a bit surprising.

On Siena: Won 11 games last season. Many coaches in the MAAC are expecting a big-time jump for the Saints in 2015-16.

Takeaway: The MAAC is a very good league, so being average in the league is the sign of a still-good team. The Saints dealt with a host of injuries last year. Even just pure health alone is enough to bring the Saints back to relevance.
