After a tough 10 - 9 loss to the Texas Rangers last night it falls to CC Sabathia to be the stopper for the Yankees. Their recent slide has been tough to watch. Last night rookie Slade Heathcott debuted by going two for three with a run and the Yankees scored nine but it still wasn't enough to take down the Rangers.

The Yankees are now a game and a half behind the Tampa Bay Rays and hoping CC can continue his success in ending losing streaks. Sabathia seems to step up when needed and he's been dominant against the Rangers in his career. The Yankees are 7-0 when Sabathia starts against the Rangers, including two postseason outings. Sabathia is 5-0 with a 4.78 ERA in those games.
