Chad Brown Breaking New Ground

This has turned out to be a flat out incredible summer in Saratoga for Mechanicville trainer Chad Brown. He is starting to pull away from reigning training champion, Todd Pletcher, which is an incredible feat in itself. Pletcher has won astonishing 12 training titles since 1998, including each of the last six. Nobody has ever won more consecutive titles. But that streak looks like it may fall this year. In addition to making a run at the training title, Brown just registered his 1,000 career win. He reached that milestone in less than eight years. All that's left for Chad Brown to do is win his first Travers Stakes this weekend. With three horses in the field, his chances are pretty good to win the most prestigious race Saratoga has to offer.
