Chad Brown has long said his biggest, single victory as a trainer would be the Travers Stakes and even without that race yet on his resume, the Mechanicville native is quickly becoming an unstoppable force at Saratoga Race Course.

On Saturday afternoon, Brown beat his own record of 40 wins set in 2016 and tied by Todd Pletcher last summer. From the opening weekend until the closing weekend, Brown has run away with the training title and with two days of racing still to go, it's possible he might put up a win total nearing the untouchable in years to come.

Despite the sour taste left behind by the performances of Good Magic and Gronkowski in the Travers, this has been a sweet summer for Brown who captured the Haskell Invitational with Good Magic in addition to dominating the meet at the Spa.
