All year we've long chronicled the local athletes who have made it at the highest levels. We've talked to several Section II products in minor league baseball, we've talked to Jimmer Fredette, and today, we added another local product to our list.

Chatham High School graduate Josh Keyes is currently a linebacker on the practice squad for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Keyes joined us to talk about the wave of emotions that go with being cut, and then signed to the practice squad. He also told us what it's like to play for Lovie Smith and answered the question, "How good can Jameis Winston be?"

Furthermore, Keyes talked to us about the transition from being a safety in his early college career to a linebacker and he hit on how it cool it is to be part of the Capital Region fraternity in professional football.

Keyes joins Joe Vellano (CBA/Patriots) and Dion Lewis (Albany Academy/Patriots) as Capital Region products in the NFL.
