Around this time yesterday, Cliff Lee's options were the Yankees, the Rangers and a "mystery third team." Well now we know who the mystery team was, because Cliff Lee has signed with them.

Late last night, the hottest commodity on this winter's free agent market agreed to a 5-year deal worth 120 million dollars. The deal is shorter than the 6- or 7-year deals that were rumored proposals from the Rangers and Yankees, but the average salary works out to the number most MLB insiders figured Lee would get (24 million per year).
