Closer’s Saratoga Selections (August 24th)

Travers week rolls on as we have sunny skies over the Spa oval and before we start handicapping the stacked Travers day card, we continue to try and build our bankroll for Saturday with today's featured 9th race, The Riskaverse. We'll look to the outside at (#11) Defiant Honor for Jimmy Toner and Jose Lezcano, who tracked and faded in the Grade III Lake George earlier in the meet. Ran against much better last out and she looks to be on or close to the lead in this one, which is never a bad thing on the inner turf. We'll play $10 win/place on (#11) Defiant Honor and $5 Exacta key boxes with (#11) Defiant Honor, (#9) Lido, (#8) Danceland and (#12) Cherry Lodge. Best of Luck on this Thursday at the Spa!!
