Curtis Martin Would Want Peyton Manning If He Owned The Jets

Former New York Jet star running back Curtis Martin has decided to weigh in on the whole Peyton Manning situation and says that if he owned the Jets, he would bring in Peyton.

Recently, Curtis Martin got a little face time with the media and decided to dish on his Peyton Manning thoughts.  Turns out after years of facing him on the field, Martin is a fan and if he owned a team he would bring him in no matter what.

I’m not saying anything against Mark Sanchez, but Peyton Manning, I have a lot of respect for the guy. I played against him for a number of years. I wouldn’t care who was on my team if Peyton Manning was available, I would go after him.

Martin would also add that despite Payton not playing at all during the 2011 season, he would be willing to take a risk on the quarterback.  He also said that if he had Drew Brees, Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers it would be a different story.
