On the road, with a chance to beat a Power 5 Conference school, the UAlbany Great Danes fell, 63-61, to the South Florida Bulls on Wednesday night in Tampa, Fla.

Up 61-60 with just seconds remaining, South Florida ran a play to get them the win. The play broke, but the Bulls caught UAlbany's defense scrambling and the ball eventually found its way into the hands of USFs Chris Perry, who dunked it home to give the Bulls a 62-61 lead. Watch it below.

The Danes turned it over on the subsequent possession and then fouled. USF hit one of two free throws to make it 63-61. Evan Singletary's heave from half court for UAlbany went wide as the Danes fall to 2-3 on the season.

UAlbany got 14 points from Singletary and 12 from Greig Stire, who continues to impress early this season. They also got 11 from Peter Hooley. The biggest issues for UAlbany continue to be shooting from the outside (3-20 from three) and the inconsistent play from all-conference guard Ray Sanders.

Sanders scored nine points on Wednesday. He's had 0, 6, 24, and 9 in games against Division 1 opponents this year.

The Danes also shot 20-30 at the FT line, and missed some foul shots at crucial times.

UAlbany returns to action on Friday night at Sefcu Arena against NJIT.
