After finishing head coach Greg Gattuso's first season at 7-5 (3-5 in CAA), the UAlbany football team has been picked to finish 10th in the league this season.

Perhaps the low projection is due to the Danes losing both quarterback Will Fiacchi and running back Omar Osbourne.

The Danes were picked to finish 10th last year as well, before finishing ninth.

Sophomore wideout Josh Gontarek was named to the preseason all-CAA team: This is taken directly from UAlbanySports.com:

Gontarek, a sophomore from Mount Airy, Md., was the CAA Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2014. Boasting the highest freshman output in program history, Gontarek recorded a team-high nine touchdowns (8 receiving, 1 rushing), 58 receptions, and 687 receiving yards. In addition, Gontarek was a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award, was named the CAA Rookie of the Week four times, and was honored as the FCS National Freshman of the Week after leading the Great Danes to the program’s first CAA victory.
