The Sprint Cup Series headed to Kansas on Sunday for the STP 400 at the Kansas Speedway. Denny Hamlin would take the checkered flag for his second win of the season.

The Race started with AJ Almendinger on the Pole leading the first 44 laps. After a slow Pit Stop, Martin Truex would take over and dominate the field.  Truex would lead 173 laps and looked to have the race in the bag, but at lap 237 Denny Hamlin would wrestle the lead away from Truex. With 3 laps to go and again at 1 Truex would try to make his move to overtake Hamlin. Hamlin's car was just too good and would go on to take his second win of the season. Jimmie Johnson would finish third while Matt Kenseth and Greg Biffle would round out the top 5.

Numerous cars would have engine problems throughout the race including Almendinger, Clint Bowyer, Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon to name a few.

The Sprint Cup Series heads to Richmond International Raceway next Saturday as the cars will be racing under the lights in the Richmond 400. Both Hamlin and Kyle Busch have fared well at this track over the last few years.  Coverage will begin at 7pm on FOX.
