Just six short weeks after benching Kyle Orton the Broncos have cut ties with him.  Orton got off to a bad start this season with a 1-4 record and was replaced by current QB Tim Tebow, who seems to be unstoppable right now.  According the Broncos head coach John Fox, it was the right move.

This was the right decision for our football team. We feel good about our quarterback group, and this gives Kyle an opportunity to help another team and showcase his talents.

-John Fox

ESPN points out that Orton won't be an unemployed QB for very long.  He is a 7 year veteran with some big game experience.  A couple teams in the NFL are currently in need of a starting QB including his former team, the Chicago Bears who lost their QB Jay Cutler to a thumb injury.  Another option could be the Houston Texans who are also lacking in QB after losing Matt Schaub for the rest of the year.
