Derek Jeter Gets First Set Of Gifts On his Farewell Tour
Unless you've been living under a rock you've heard that "The Captain" Derek Jeter is calling it quits after this season. When a player of Jeter's caliber retires the league takes notice. For the rest of the season when Jeter makes his last stop in a stadium he will be honored in some way and most likely given a gift or two. The Houston Astros were first up to honor the Captain.
Before the game began the Astros presented Jeter with a 10 gallon hat, a really nice set of golf clubs and some seriously ugly cowboy boots. lol I love they are showing respect and I love the pinstripes but man those boots were LOUD. Andy Pettitte threw the first pitch and the Astros sold Jeter merchandise in there stores.
