Detroit Tigers Victor Martinez Tears ACL

Never a good report when you see 'tear' and 'ACL' in the headline.  Victor Martinez could be missing the entire 2012 season thanks to this offseason injury.

Monday Victor Martinez had an MRI on his torn ACL and it's not looking good.  Right now it looks like he is going to need surgery, which will most likely have him missing the entire 2012 season.  Not good news for the Detroit Tigers who won the AL Central last season, something that Martinez was a big part of.

They won't have an exact timeline as to how long Martinez will be out until after he has the surgery.  He is going to be reevaluated, but all things point to surgery at this time.
