In the fourth week of our season-long series of interviews, Brian Cady was able to catch up with Albany Devils head coach Rick Kowalsky. The Devils are riding a hot streak, with points in each of their last eight games, the longest such streak in the AHL.

The Devils currently have a record of 9-6-1-1 for the season and are positioned in third place in the Northeast Division, sitting just one point behind the Connecticut Whale for the top spot.

Coach Kowalsky discussed several topics with Brian this week, including:

  • The different approach to players with concussions from his time as a player in the 1990's to the present day
  • Why this year's team seems to play so well in close games (8 of their 9 wins have come in 1-goal games)
  • How important it is for the team to stay focused, despite all of their early season success

Check out the interview below.
