Despite pushing the No. 1 seed Toronto Marlies to the brink in Game 7 of the AHLs North Division Finals, the Albany Devils' season has come to an end.

The 4-3 loss eliminated the Devils from playoff contention after the Devils had staved off elimination in Game 6 by picking up a 4-1 win.

The Marlies scored the game-winning goal to break a 3-3 tie with 2:30 left in regulation off the stick of Richard Clune.

The Devils got their goals courtesy of Paul Thompson (2) and Nick Lappin (1).

The Devils outshot the Marlies, 28-24, in the loss. Albany finished second in the Eastern Conference of the AHL this season.
