In a road trip that might define their season the Albany Devils finish off a 6 game roadie by losing 4-2 in Bridgeport Sunday night and finish the trip losing the last 5 games.

The Devils after winning the opener on the 6 gamer in Rochester, the Devils found themselves in 9th place overall in the east. However they come limping home noe standing in 12th place in the conference, 6 points behind Hershey. The top 8 teams in the conference make the playoffs. Albany is tied at 65 points with Worcester and Bridgeport. Albany missed the playoffs last season.

The numbers get worse. Albany was outscored 20-7 in those last 5 games. They used 3 goalies on the trip, including the losing net minder Sunday in Keith Kinkaid.

The Sound Tigers out scored the Devils in each of the 1st 2 periods by a 2-1 margin. Neither team scored in the 3rd period. Mike Sislo and David Wohlberg scored the goals for the Devils. Sislo scored in the 1st period cutting a deficit in half from 2-0 Bridgeport. Wohlberg's goal made it the final score of 4-2. Kinkaid made 19 saves in the loss. Albany outshot Bridgeport 31-21. Rick DiPietro beat the Devils for the 2nd time since he was farmed out by the Islanders.

After 2 weeks on the road and in hotels the Devils try and make their surge starting Wednesday night back on home ice at the Times Union Center when they tangle with St. Johns. Face off is 7:05 P.M.
