Devils Primed For AHL Playoffs

After amassing 46 total wins and securing second place in the AHLs East Conference, the Albany Devils are primed for the playoffs.

The Devils will take on the Utica Comets in Round 1. The Comets won 38 games this season in earning the seven seed.

The game schedule is as follows:

Game 1: April 22, 7 p.m. at Albany

Game 2: April 23, 5 p.m. at Albany

Game 3: April 26, 7 p.m. at Utica

Game 4*: April 28, 7 p.m. at Utica

Game 5*: April 30, 5 p.m. at Albany

* Denotes if necessary

The Devils were led this season by Matt Lorito, who scored a team-high 54 points, and Mike Sislo, who scored 27 goals in just 57 games.

The playoff matchups look like this:

No. 1 Toronto Marlies vs. No. 8 Bridgeport Sound Tigers

No. 2 Albany Devils vs. No. 7 Utica Comets

No. 3 Hershey Bears vs. No. 6 Portland Pirates

No. 4 Providence Bruins vs. No. 5 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins
