On Military Appreciation Day, the Albany Devils left all their scoring ammo in the locker room and were blanked by the Bighamton Senators 5-0 in front of just under 5,000 fans Saturday night. The loss left the Devils on the verge of being eliminated from playoff hopes.

Binghamton scored once in the 1st, twice in the 2nd, and added a pair in the 3rd to win easily. Senator Goalie Nathan Lawson stopped all 35 Albany shots.

Binghamton made it 2 straight wins over Albany, defeating them the night before in Binghamton.

A good crowd assembled at the Times Union Center for this special game. All past and present military hero's were let in to the game for free. Perhaps the Devils were awed by their presence cuse they sure didn't play with any urgency.

In order the Binghamton goals were scored by guys named Claesson, Gazley, Stone, Robinson, and Cowick. The Devils started rookie Scott Wedgewood in net.

The Devils will look to stave off playoff elimination, at least what they can control, in a Sunday late afternoon matinee at home against Rochester. Face off is 3:00 P.M.
