Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart has been suspended three games for shoving Texas Tech fan Jeff Orr.

In a statement, Orr said that he did not use a racial slur, called Smart a, "piece of crap".

Marcus Smart spoke to the media, off the top of his head without a statement, he said:

I want to apologize to … my teammates, my coaching staff, Coach Ford. This is not how I condone myself. This is not how the program is ran, this is not how I was raised. I let my emotions get the best of me.

It’s something that I can’t have happen again. It’s a lesson I have to learn from. The consequences that are coming with it I’m taking full responsibility. No fingers are pointing, this is all upon me.

I want to say that I truly apologize to those who are important to me. I feel like I let my teammates down. Those guys mean a lot to me and not to be able to be out there with them hits me in my heart.

I have a lot of people that look up to me a lot of little kids. I truly apologize, this is not me, and I really do apologize for it. I take full responsibility and the consequences that come with it.
