Nick Saban is one of the most successful college football coaches of all time. Saban is a five time national champion coach and already has a statue in his honor  outside of Alabama's stadium. According to actor Tom Arnold, Saban wanted to become the next head coach of the New York Giants. Arnold told ESPN on Friday that Saban expressed interest in the Giants opening following the departure of Tom Coughlin.

Some of Arnold's claims seem to be too good to be true while some of the stories seem too specific to be fabricated. Arnold does have a relationship with the Executive Vice President of the New York Giants Steve Tisch. Arnold along with Jay Leno were guests of Tisch when the Giants executive received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Nick Saban has not been a head coach in the NFL since 2006. Saban coached the Dolphins in 2005 and 2006 then left the NFL to take his current job at Alabama. Saban was 15-17 as a coach in the NFL.
