Dion Lewis Has More Limited Role in Win vs. Colts
Dion Lewis came into Sunday's matchup with the Indianapolis Colts banged up. He was on the injury report with an abdomen issue and was a limited participant in practice late in the week.
He did play in New England's 34-27 win on Sunday night, but had a more limited role than he had enjoyed in the Pats first four wins.
It could have been the injury, or it could have just been that the Colts defense gameplanned for him.
Lewis carried the ball just four times, but did amass 21 yards (5+ yards per carry). LeGarrette Blount led the way with 16 carries for 93 yards.
Lewis, who is a big part of the Patriots pass offense, had three catches for 18 yards. His longest reception was a 12-yard catch.
We will see how Lewis's injury translates into this week. The Pats have a big test coming up when they play the New York Jets this week.
