Albany native Dion Lewis turned in another solid performance, rushing eight times for 37 yards and a touchdown. He also caught five passes for 30 yards in the contest as he continues to pay dividends for the defending champions.

Lewis' touchdown was on the first Pats scoring drive.

It's hard to tell what Lewis' role will be going forward, as LeGarrette Blount saw the bulk of the carries (18). Blount also had three touchdowns.

The Patriots blog site "Pats Pulpit" offered this on the Lewis-Blount dynamic.

"Blount was able to close because Lewis picked up 37 yards and a touchdown and 5 catches for 30 yards. Lewis was able to soften the Jaguars defense to open up passing plays up the field. Look for the Patriots to feature both Blount and Lewis moving forward in a Stevan Ridley/Shane Vereen-like tandem. While Lewis is no longer an every game bet, he's still a lock for some major opportunities."
