The second half of the season is upon us and we started with a four plus game series between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. I say four plus because not only was there a double header on Sunday but there was also a 16 inning game on Saturday. So after a two to two split what did we learn?

Boston Globe's Pete Abraham fills us in on what he's learned. First off this season is very different then expected as the two teams challenging Boston for the AL East are the Yankees and the Rays not the Blue Jays and Orioles. Plus there's an odd respect between the once hate filled rivalry now appears to be a more fun and respectful rivalry. As a matter of fact the Red Sox fans even seem to like Aaron Judge. Sure they boo him but it's more playful.
