Melky Cabrera is getting a fair amount of praise from fans for not lying about his boosted testosterone levels.  Don't forget about the fact that this guy cheated.

San Francisco Giants left fielder Melky Cabrera has been suspended for 50 games by Major League Baseball.  Cabrera tested positive for boosted testosterone levels.  Cabrera was named MVP of the 2012 All-Star Game and was batting .346 with 11 homers and 60 RBIs this season for San Francisco.  His suspension is a big loss for the Giants.

Cabrera has been praised by fans for, at least, being honest about using performance-enhancing drugs.  Hey, I'm glad that Cabrera didn't give us the same old tired excuses for violating a drug test, but I'm not going to overlook the fact that this guy cheated.  Sure, it was refreshing that Cabrera was truthful, but don't forget that he was being truthful about cheating the game.  That shouldn't be overlooked.

I'll talk more about this topic when I fill in for Bruce Jacobs by hosting "Game On" this afternoon following Yankees' baseball on 104.5 The Team.
