Stephen Drew provided the power for the Yankees to beat the Washington Nationals 6 - 1. Drew was two for four with two home runs, raising his season average to .175. Masihiro Tanaka and the Yankees bullpen held the Nationals to one run. Which happened to be Bryce Harper's league leading 20th home run.

Today the Yankees put their faith in Nathan Eovaldi as they look for their first eight game win streak since coming during a 10 game streak from June 8-18, 2012, with wins Nos. 7-9 coming in Washington. Their most recent eight-game run at home was Aug. 21-Sept. 4, 2010.
