Dwight Howard Leaves Announcer Hanging [VIDEO]

The #1 thing on the to-do list of new Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard wasn’t “give dap to announcer guy.”

Dwight Howard is now a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.  Howard didn’t exactly begin his brand new stint with the Lakers by endearing himself to the PA announcer though.  When the PA guy (who is believed to be Lawrence Tanter) extends his fist to give Howard some dap, “Superman” turns his cape on the piddly announcer.

The announcer then tries to play off the dissing by Dwight.  It was tough to witness.  You could almost see a piece of the announcer die right before our eyes.  Dwight should take a page from Michael Jordan’s book and show some love to the announcer next time.  Jordan routinely had great pregame interactions with Johnny “Red” Kerr.  Jordan would always clap powder in Johnny’s face.  It sounds cruel but it was actually a gesture of endearment.
