It's being reported right now that Orlando's Dwight Howard is prepared to ask the Magic to trade him to the New Jersey Nets.  Sources close to him say that is where he wants to be.

We reported a couple weeks ago that the New Jersey Nets had prepared an offer that would get Dwight Howard to them.  In turn it would send Brook Lopez and two first round draft picks to Orlando.  It looks like that deal was enough to entice Howard as ESPN is reporting that Howard wants to take that offer and will ask Orlando to send him packing.

New Jersey will also be willing to take on Hedo Turkoglu's remaining contract.  That will free up cap space and the plan seems to be to build the franchise around Brook Lopez and the upcoming draft picks.  In the meantime, Dwight Howard might be what keeps Deron Williams in New Jersey.  Williams is a free agent at the end of the 2011/2012 season.
