It certainly couldn't be called a happy return to Disney Land for enigmatic center Dwight Howard, now of the Los Angeles Lakers. Howard and his new club visited Orlando Tuesday night and came away with a 106-97 victory over the not so magical Magic. Howard was given a rough reception and the cat calls were there most of the night. Also making an appearance for most of the evening was Mr Foul to the tune of Howard shooting an astounding 39 times.

More amazing is that Howard hit 25 of those free throws, which happened to be more points then any else scored in the game. Howard finished with 39 points and the Lakers  moved back into the 8th seed in the Western Conference.

Howard entered the game hitting only 47.8% of his free throws. he tied his own record for free throw attempts in 1 game.

Howard was booed hard every time he touched the ball, a fitting reception for the way he exited Orlando, whining and crying, much as he has spent much of this season.

Just last week Howard started another  tiff when he claimed in his time with the Magic he played with players that " nobody else wanted." That started a war of words between Howard and his point guard much of the time Jameer Nelson. It also included since departed JJ Redick and Rashard Lewis.

Orlando fans showed their disgust with Howard not only with loud boos but many signs such as " Kobe's Kid" and  "Coward." Howard claims the boos and mostly angry reception and treatment didn't faze him. Does anyone actually believe the ultra sensitive Howard wasn't bothered?

Orlando employed the "hack a Howard" strategy much of the evening, thus he spent much of it at the charity stripe.

The win, the 4th consecutive for Los Angeles moved them back to a half game lead over the 9th seed Utah Jazz for the final playoff spot in the west.
