Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jason Avant made one of the best catches of the 2012 NFL season on Sunday against Tampa Bay.  Check out this jaw-dropping catch.

Eagles wide receiver Jason Avant had a great game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.  The Eagles 4th-round pick in 2006 had seven receptions for 133 yards as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Buccaneers 23-21.  20 of Avant’s 133 receiving yards came on this beautiful one-handed catch along the sideline.

Rookie quarterback Nick Foles also played well for the Eagles.  The 3rd-round rookie out of Arizona completed 32-of-51 passes for 381 yards and two touchdowns.  Foles completed a pass over the middle to Jason Avant for 22 yards in the closing seconds.  The completion set the Eagles up with 1st & Goal inside the Bucs’ 2-yard line with (:02) to play.  Foles then completed a 1-yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin to give the Eagles the win as time expired.

The win ended an eight-game losing streak for the Eagles.  The last time the Eagles won before beating the Bucs on Sunday was way back on September 30th.  The Eagles beat the New York Giants 19-17 on Sunday Night Football before eventually going winless in October and November.
