Multiple sources are reporting that former Siena College star Edwin Ubiles is set to sign a 10-day contract with the Washington Wizards.

Ubiles was averaging 20.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists in the NBA D-league, for the Dakota Wizards.

Ubiles is now fully recovered from a stress fracture in his right tibia, which caused him to slowly progress into the pro ranks. This past summer, he earned a gold media in the Pan-American game, playing for his native Puerto Rico.

The Wizards have an open roster spot after obtaining Nene from Denver and shipping out both JaVale McGee and Nick Young, just before the NBA trade deadline.

Ubiles helped Siena win three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championships and also led the Saints to NCAA tournament victories over Vanderbilt and Ohio State.

No Siena player has ever played in a regular season NBA game.

Most recently, Ubiles' teammate, Kenny Hasbrouck, signed multiple 10-day contracts with the Miami Heat. Hasbrouck is currently playing professionally in Germany.
