This. This right here, is why some people don't like the NBA. It's why I didn't like the NBA for a long time. It's why some people gear their interests toward the college game.

I've seen the NBA let a lot of things slide, but THIS is one of the worst of them all. If I were the Houston Rockets, I'd be livid. Not only did Augustin get away with the violation, the play led to two points after goaltending was called.

The bottom line is this: the NBA is about offense, so the game often lets certain fundamental processes slide, I get it, but this needs to be called.

The NBA needs to get away from the stigma that basic basketball fundamentals are ignored. And dribbling would be one of those basic fundamentals.
