The Hoyas led by John Thompson III still remain in the Big East Conference while the Syracuse Orange now compete in the ACC. The rivalry featured future NBA stars including Carmelo Anthony, Hakim Warrick, Alonzo Mourning, Patrick Ewing, Allen Iverson and more. This afternoon we caught up with another former Syracuse alum, Eric Devendorf. Devendorf explained why the Georgetown-Syracuse is so special.

Well obviously years and years of super competitive intense games filled with NBA guys and super talented guys. Tomorrow should be no different; it’s going to be a super competitive game. We have talent guys on both sides of the ball. We always look forward to the challenge and hope we can come out on the winning end.
