Why does ESPN's Trevor Matich believe Syracuse Football have a chance against LSU?

Syracuse Football is off to their first 3-0 since the 1991 season. This Saturday they welcome the 8th best team in the country the LSU Tigers to the Carrier Dome. Coach Les Miles' squad is led by running back Leonard Fournette, the current leader for many national Heisman trophy polls from national outlets.. According to various sports book in Las Vegas, the Orange enter the game as a 24 point underdog.  The Orange will be down to their third string quarterback for Saturday's noon kickoff after senior Terrell Hunt was lost for the season with a torn Achilles and freshman Eric Dungey left last week's victory against Central Michigan with a concussion.  So why does ESPN's Trevor Matich think Syracuse Football has a chance to win this game?

Here’s their chance the defense for Syracuse has been salty, I mean really salty. The D-line has done a good job of eating up blockers so the linebackers can run free and they will load up that line, they will do their best to limit Leonard Fournette and hope that Brandon Harris the new LSU quarterback is not yet ready for primetime and he makes some mistakes and throws some picks. That’s what they have to hope for, but the thing is that defense is salty enough to give them a chance that way. I have great respect with the way those guys are playing.

Trevor Matich may not exactly be Lloyd Christmas but he is at least giving Syracuse a chance. Trevor's conversation with us also included another potential top 10 team that may be in trouble this weekend,
