Capital District Charity Softball Tournament

We at Capital District Charity Softball (CDCS) are excited to announce our Inaugural Softball Tournament, which will take place August 17th and 18th, 2013 at Knickerbacker Park in Troy, NY.

CDCS’s mission is to raise funds for local non-profit organizations. All proceeds from the tournament will be split equally between the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) and Sports Are For Everyone (SAFE).

The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society of Menands, NY, has been saving the lives of abused and unwanted animals since 1887 without any funding from federal, state or local governments or any other animal welfare organization. Since 1992, S.A.F.E of Clifton Park, NY, has been providing children with developmental disabilities the opportunity to participate in recreational sports. Today, there are about 180 athletes involved in a variety of sports all year long.

We are currently looking for both men and coed teams. The coed tournament will be Saturday August 17th and men's will be Sunday August 18th. MHHS will have a booth set up with dogs on one or both of the days. SAFE athletes will play a game on one of the fields on one or both of the fields. We would love to try and get spectators for this event to cheer these athletes on!!
