The Jets beat the Giants 28-18 in the annual 'Snoopy Bowl' at MetLife Stadium on Saturday. In the most important pre-season game of the year, here were our big takeaways:

1. Jets D > Giants O: The Jets prevented the Giants offense from getting in a rhythm the whole game. The Giants starters in the first half had one scoring drive. Antonio Cromartie's 55-yard interception for a touchdown was the highlight for the Gang Green defense.

"That was more-so of me doing trying to do my job, just like everybody else on the field," said Cromartie.

2. Fitzpatrick can be Fitzmagic - As a starter at multiple stops in his career, Ryan Fitzpatrick showed on Saturday that he can maintain this Jets offense with enough success in 2015. The veteran quarterback was 9 of 14 for 127 yards, which includes touchdown passes to Eric Decker and Zac Stacy.

3. Giants O A Work-In Progress: The problem is they were a work in progress last year too. Odell Beckham Junior was impressive catching passes five of the six times he was targeted, for a total of 31 yards, including several of them against Darrelle Revis. Victor Cruz's availability will dictate just how well this offense does as the Giants have now ruled him out for the final pre-season game of the year.

4. Progress For Giants Defense: Yes, the Jets scored 28 points, but two of those came on special teams and a pick six. The Giants as a whole gave up two touchdowns to the Jets first team.

5. Special Teams Hopefully Will Be Special - Giants special teams coach Tom Quinn has been on the hot seat the last two years and could stay that way if the G-Men can't tackle on punt returns. Walter Powell of the Jets took a punt to the house for 54 yards and kick return has been a thorn for this team in the past.
