Congratulations to our friend here at 104.5 The Team on finding a new home: Former Giants OL Geoff Schwartz has signed a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions.

Schwartz was released earlier this offseason after being oft-injured during his Giants tenure. His contract also played a role in the release as the decision helped free up even more money and further allowed the Giants to go on a spending spree this offseason.

The Giants brought in DB Janoris Jenkins, DT Damon Harrison and DL Olivier Vernon in an effort to better a defense that allowed the third most points in the league in 2015.

Schwartz was a productive player when healthy and we wish him the best in Detroit. He joined us every week during the 2015 NFL season.
